Frequently asked questions

We release a new show each month during the school year (there are eight shows in total) and these are launched on the third Thursday of each month at 10am in English and 11am in French. These shows are pre-recorded, but during the premiere event—from 10am to 12pm—you can submit questions for our experts via Twitter by using the hashtag #liveitearth.

If the timing doesn’t work, don’t worry. You can pre-load your questions and still get answers from the experts for your class!

When you sign up for an account, you can access our Pro-D library, which includes how-to videos that explain how to participate in our programming with Twitter.

Just follow these steps:

  1. Click on this link:
  2. Enter your name and email, then choose a password.
  3. Next you’ll see the payment page, where you can either choose a subscription and start your free trial, or click on the pink writing below to access our sample programming (no subscription required). This gives you access to a sample of our programs.

You’ll get full access to all of our programs for 21 days.

This includes:

  1. Access to our entire Relive It library of programs
  2. Teacher resources to support classroom and home learning
  3. Exclusive professional development materials

When your 21-day trial ends then you will only have access to the sample material (see more below).

Absolutely. We love our platform and are happy to share some of our material so you can see how awesome it is! Any teacher, parent or educator can create a free account (no credit card needed!) and access a limited number of programs. We just don’t guarantee which programs these are, so you can’t count on having access for an extended period of time.

Visit and log in with your username and password. Then click on the Series tab in the top menu.

The feedback that we’ve received from our educators, is that a classroom environment for viewing the show, followed by a discussion sets the students up to get the most out of our programming.

Your teacher account has access to an online classroom where you can add up to 30 students. When you add a student, a unique passcode is generated for that student. Although there is a limit of 30 students per class, we understand that there may be exceptions to this rule and you might need to have additional students added. If this is the case, please contact us.

Live It programs are designed for multi-age learning. It’s really up to you how you apply the programs to your classroom or school. Each program offers a 25 - 35 minute show with a related resources section, challenges, and explore section with further information to dive deeper into the topic.

Responses to the creative challenges, for example, may look different depending on the ages of the kids. How you apply the programming and use the resources will vary depending on what you want the kids to get out of it and how deep they want to dive into the topics.

All of the programs can be cross-referenced with the Curricular Connections section which links learning outcomes to the various programs if you want to track learning.

We highly recommend the 21-day free trial, which gives you access to a selection of programs, so you may explore further.

We design our programs and resources for K-8 classrooms. And our teachers find there are many "jumping off" places throughout the programs to take the classroom conversations and learning in the direction you desire.

Some high school teachers use our programs as a base, and then add their own layers of complexity to the challenges to meet the needs of their learners. Our Curricular Connection tool helps you to connect each program with the grade you're teaching. We sometimes refer to them as a "choose your own adventure" style of resource!

Focused Ed did a privacy assessment on us in 2019 and we were approved as a learning resource in BC.

The interdisciplinary nature of our educational resources accommodate hundreds of curricular connections across grade levels and domains of learning. Curricular and core competencies are highlighted in our challenges and inquiry guides and Big Idea spotlights are animated in our show and our slideshow.

Over the course of a school year our line-up of 8 live shows and educational resources can serve any given school with up to 2 thousand potential points of connection with the BC and Ontario curriculum alone. Our Re-live it library of shows adds even more.
